At Persique, we are inspired by the glorious legacy of Persian art, culture and history. Our mission is to bring Persian art to all. And we believe we have a lot to offer: love, peace and poetry.
History
Iran (also known as Persia) and surrounding regions (often referred to as Greater Iran), are home to a number of unique and authentic art traditions and techniques in many disciplines including ceramics, architecture, weaving, painting, calligraphy, metalwork and sculpture as well as literature and book arts.
Art
Despite being often forgotten, Persian art may not be too strange to you. Your colourful Persian rug, the floral, paisley pattern on your tie, shirt or scarf, or even the colour Persian blue are all a glimpse of Persian art and architecture. Even less apparent is everyday objects and experiences ranging from pajamas and high heels to waistcoats, khakis and believe it or not, Shiraz wine, the polo game and umbrellas which have roots in Iran and Persian culture.
