Based on a floral painting which dates back to 1844–45, this gorgeous design features the Gol-o-bolbol (bird-and-flower) style of Persian painting wherein a nightingale and two butterflies are in lush foliage. The painting was painted on the exterior of a lacquer mirror case with opaque watercolour.
