Star Mosaique Tote Bag

This colourful star-shaped design is inspired by a 15th century Persian tile and includes various motifs of Persian art and architecture such as the lotus flower in the centre which symbolises the Persian goddess of water, Anahita. The floral design of this tile on a Persian blue background was part of a larger, more complicated pattern that was set in place on the exterior of a building. This beautiful tile is currently kept at the Los Angles County Museum of Art.
